Workshop Theme

The HybridED Workshop as an international workshop aiming at engaging researchers and practitioners from all over the world in discussions about the future of Hybrid Education. Benefiting from this increasing interest on re-using digital resources through hybrid or blended learning (BL) initiatives, the goal of this workshop is to create a space to share, document, and present the most recent research in tools and data analysis for supporting smart and advanced BL scenarios. The workshop will encourage attendees to share their BL scenarios and their metrics for success that guided their blended educational practices using MOOCs or other online resources as well as share the lessons learned from those promising practices that did not turn out as expected. The Program Committee will provide inspiring talks and participatory activities to encourage attendees to share their BL scenarios. The aim is to end up with a collection of documented cases of smart and advanced data-informed BL scenarios that might serve as a reference for other researchers and practitioners to reflect about the future of BL. 

Call for Papers

Please submit a two-page document as an extended abstract reporting about a successful or promising (not necessarily successful) experience on using MOOCs or other digital resources for Blended Learning pedagogies in higher education or other domains (secondary education, vocational training, lifelong learning, among others). Submissions are accepted both in French and in English.
Submit your contribution using the Springer LNCS format via the Easychair system. Please, consider the guidelines provided for writing your two-page contribution. These guidelines can give you some ideas on how to present your contribution. Notice that all accepted papers will be also asked to produce a two-page summary using the schema proposed in these guidelines.

  • Notification of acceptance: 3 May 2019.
  • Workshop: 4 June 2019.
